So currently I have a :
Nzxt Source 210 case
500 Watt 80+ Bronze PSU (forgot name, looking to keep it, had it for 4 years though)
8 GB Ram DDR3 (Forgot name but I think crucial ballistic sport, prob wouldn't replace)
EVGA GTX 1050 superclocked (Looking to keep it, got it about a year ago)
500 GB Seagate Barracuda ( I Think 7200 RPM not sure) (forgot exactly, had it for 4 years, not really looking to replace, nice amount of space for me tbh)
AMD Athlon X4 860K (replaced my A6 2.5 years ago, looking to replace)

So I'm thinking about getting a new case, new motherboard and cpu, and then keeping the rest, any ideas?
I saw some nice Ryzen and Mobo bundles at microcenter, I'm not looking to break the wallet.
Less than ~350 for a case mobo and cpu would be appreciated, and if you can add a psu and ram for less than $350 that would be nicer.
Thanks in advance!

well the AMD 1600 is of course a great CPU, but it's well out of your budget. That is why I did not suggest it.

Another suggestion would be to shop online >

CPU: AMD - Ryzen...

why a case?

here's my suggestion. if you want just get 2x4gb ram and with that get yourself a different case. Also i Would keep your PSU if its still working

Thank you,
Well isn’t NZXT source 210 sort of eh, entry level? Also my front USB port and headphones don’t work (broken) not a big deal but idk.

Also I found a similar bundle in micro center but the CPU is a ryzen 5 1600 for $254 both CPU and Mobo , is that as good or better than the combination u sent? (It’s more expensive but...)
http://www.microcenter.com/product/5000149/AMD_Ryzen_5_1600,_MSI_B350_TOMAHAWK_CPU-Motherboard_Bundle

Also jeez, what happened to RAM prices? (Sorry my pc knowledge is still in 2014-2016ish mode)

That is a good combo but you need at least 8gb of new ram - yours wont work. That adds another $100 or so (ram cost is very high lately).

Also, unless your copy of windows is retail you might need that too. But, you can run win 10 legally unregistered with no performance hit.

==================================

yes.. Ram Prices are crap... and it doesn't seem like they're going to go down... There was talk here and there about it getting lower soon.. but it doesn't appear like it'll happen.

==================================

Here's another look at it, with just 8GB ram.. but you can easily add more later. This will probably end up costing you 400~ give or take a few (prices change a little day to day with sales or what not)

Hello guys, bit of a late reply, I still haven't made a purchase EXCEPT the ram and case,I got the G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 (silver) for $99, for some reason silver is cheaper than red and blue?? lol
I got the same case but white for 50 usd from Walmart (nzxt phantom 410)
now all that's left is the motherboard and CPU
debating between the MSI B350 tomahawk and ASROCK PRO4 AM4,
The cpu is probably going to be a Ryzen 5 2600 or Ryzen 5 1600 (why is the price difference small?)
anyone has other suggestions for mobo's? I'd appreciate a mobo that shows where these small pins go, I remember that made my heart sink when I built my first pc LOL...

p.s. I could probably use the older mobo and cpu and case for my sister's PC (she doesn't play demanding games, just casual stuff)
maybe I should just keep the psu in that case and get myself a modular 600W psu.
-------------------------
now you might ask why 16 GB ram?
well... the 8 gb wasn't any cheaper, and also I work with Cubase ( Music production) and I load quite the amount of channels and virtual instruments, so I do want a significant performance boost in the ram and cpu area. So when I saw the price of 99 I decided to go for it
----
In short:
I got GSKILL 16gb ram, A case.
Any recommendations for MOBO AND CPU?

Also I found b350 tomahawk for $60 ($19shipping) on ebay (new)
Should I go for it?
Theres also the ASROCK ab350 pro4 for 60 dollars ($9 shipping )
