Monitor flickers spontaneously whenever using graphically intense software.

Hello everyone!

I've noticed that whenever I perform anything graphically intense (gaming, GPU stress test, etc.) my monitor will flicker and show artifacts towards the bottom of the screen intermittently. It only does this for a short amount of time (about less than a half a second) and then it will display everything normally for anywhere between several seconds to several minutes before eventually flickering again, repeating this process intermittently, as I had said earlier.

I have an LG 25" Ultrawide monitor connected to a Gigabyte GTX 1060 using an HDMI cable as my main monitor, this is the monitor that's causing issues. I also have an old Dell monitor that is connected to the same card using DVI-D Dual Link as a secondary monitor. Now I notice that when I run a GPU stress test (MSI Kombuster 3) on the LG Ultrawide, the flickering occurs, however, when I do the stress test on the Dell monitor (same GPU), the flickering does not occur.

I have tried changing the HDMI cable on the LG monitor, but I still got the same issue. This most likely rules out the possibility of the cable being an issue. However, I am still very confused about whether it is a monitor, a graphics card, or some variation of a software issue. The fact that it only happens on one of the two monitors leads me to believe that it is a monitor issue, but the fact that it only happens when using graphically intense software leads me to believe that there might be something wrong with the graphics card.

If anyone knows how to figure this out, I would be very happy! :)

Thank you,

AtomicGPU.

i think your monitor is broken, if you still have warranty, return it! they will give you a different one. and you should look if there are any new drivers for your monitor, hope it helps!
