There is no such thing as a "good" WIFI extender for gaming, IMO. Powerline network adapters will be a much better choice. Get models with the AV2 standard certification.

Assuming the pair can stay encrypted, the main problem with powerline adapters would be electromagnetic interference (EMI) and how well the signal transits GFCI circuits (mostly a problem with newer houses), different phases, and different breaker boxes. You can get
EMI filters for each powerline adapter to potentially improve the throughput, but at that point, you're in the price range of even better solutions. You also may see problems from microwave ovens, self-inductance, and wifi, since those can all interfere with the same frequencies used by powerline adapters.
Powerline adapters wouldn't likely impair other condo tenants' electricity in any way. But you can expect them to die at some point after their caps puff up enough from the occasional voltage spike.
