Hello,

I recently moved over to Virgin 200mb fibre on a Virgin Hub 3 and have now got my old Sky sr102 router lying around.

I am looking to connect this sky router to the virgin router via ethernet to provide a greater wireless signal upstairs along with the additional lan ports the sky router would provide.

I understand such a thing is possible and have previously lived in a property where something like this was set up. I have already tried following countless sets of instructions online but to no avail.

Steps taken previously include:

- Changing the IP address pool of the primary router to be +1 of its default and assigned a static IP address to the secondary router.
- Turned off DHCP on the secondary router to allow the primary router to allocate local IP addresses.
- Used ethernet to connect the primary to the secondary router.

At this point, after the steps did not work, i reset the secondary router to allow me to start again with any help received.

Steps on how to achieve this would be greatly appreciated.

"Using Ethernet to connect the primary to the secondary": Make sure you are connecting LAN-to-LAN ports. When working as an access point, WAN port of your Sky goes unused.

I would assume you are doing steps 1, 2 while connected to the Sky router, then make the connection. This also means that your computer should be set up with static IP address at some point in time.
