SDD and HDD conflicting with eachother

When i have my SSD alone, gaming works fine, but when i have my SSD and HDD both on my pc wont even go through the startup sequence for some reason..And when it does, it crashes after 5 minutes without error screen and doesnt write a dump file.

Already checked the HDD alone and it works fine.

The thing is when both are connected at the same time.

Tried changing SATA cables, ports and PSU cables.
Did sfc /scannow, Chkdsk c: /f /r, memory test, and video card and cpu stress tests. Changed thermal compound on my CPU.

Need help with this, its driving me crazy.

My rig is:

CPU:AMD Rhyzen 5 1600
MOBO: Asus B350 plus prime
RAM: 2x8GB Kingston 2400 Ghz
VGA: EVGA 970
PSU: Sentey 80p bronze 650 W
SSD: 240GB Kingston / Windows is here
HDD: WD Blue 2TB / no windows here

Never mind the "tests" you performed that were recommended by a friend. Check the health of the drive with the manufacturer's diagnostic program designed to test their drives; in this case the WD Data Lifeguard program that I previously brought to your attention.

It would be desirable to change the graphics card just on the off-chance that component is causing the problem. Can you lay your hands on another graphics card?

I see that now you've also indicated that at times the system will not boot to the OS even when the boot drive is the only installed drive. That really complicates matters from a diagnostic point-of-view.

I assume you've installed the latest BIOS update.

I'm loathe to think you're dealing with a defective...

may be a few things. start with the mb bios. make sure it updated. on the mb make sure your using the main sata ports and not 3 party asmedia ports if the mb has them. on newer bios if m2 and nve support is on some of the onboard sata ports wont work right. bad power from the power supply. see if there another sata port on another cable try it,. evga video cards have bad power chipse google evga vidoe cards going up in flames. your gpu could be pulling more power then needed at post.

i updated my bios yesterday, vga is fine, works great until i have both drives at the same time.

If i change my 2TB with my 1TB older drive still doesnt work, but i have a windows installed there and that may be why it fails.

But in my 2TB drive i dont have anything right now, and it still crashes

1. Just to confirm...when your Kingston boot drive is the ONLY drive connected in the system there are absolutely NO PROBLEMS booting to the OS and the drive functions problem-free thereafter? That's the case, yes?

2. I realize you've already stated that you "checked the HDD alone and it works fine". Could you explain how you "checked it alone"? How did you manage that feat? Did you check the health of the drive using the WD Data Lifeguard program? Or some other HDD diagnostic program? All indicated the drive was non-defective?

3. Then you've indicated that when you install a different HDD the same problem occurs. The system crashes with that drive as well. (The fact that the drive contains an OS is irrelevant; you're booting to your regular boot drive yes? And the system does boot without problems, does it not?)

4. So when you boot the system with the problem secondary drive(s) connected, the system ALWAYS boots to the OS; the boot itself is unaffected, right? It's only when you start playing your games that the problem you describe exists, right? And ONLY when games are involved? Or is that all you use the PC for?

1. Exactly

2.i booted from a bootable linux flash drive and i performed tests recommended by a friend and the disk was fine. Showed 0 problems whatsowever. And i checked the SSD with the Kingston utility and got the same results.

3.When i installed an older HDD the same crash happened, on a game i have on my SSD. (this is why i think the problem exists when the system detects the ssd and another drive or something like that)

4. I code on unity, eclipse, npp, browse reddit, work using office, netflix, youtube, but the crash always happens when i open a game. Particularly playerunknown's battlegrounds, star wars battlefront 2, or world of warcraft. Sometimes it doesnt even go through the boot sequence and it just shows me the asus logo from the motherboard and it just stays there for a while, then goes to the bios settings on its own and i cant see the SSD drive there. Now this is happening even when i dont have the hdd plugged in.
