can 2 gtx 970 run 2 1440p 144hz monitors ?

hi guys, currently i have a 1080p monitor and 2 gpus (gigabyte gtx 970 windforce) , 8 gb ram(soon to be 16gb),and a 5930k (@4ghz). its a lot of power for a single 1080p panel so i think about switching to a dual 1440p monitor setup. can the hardware listed above drive all new games at a reasonable framerates and settings?

a single 1440p monitor yes, but most likely not at 144hz reliably without seriously lowering settings



for a single 1440p 144hz monitor it takes a gtx 1080 ti


so you would need two in sli if you wanted to game in dual 1440p 144hz monitors
