Hey! So i recently bought a new GPU(asus strix 1080ti) and a case(corsair 570x). I started dissembling my components from my old pc case (NZXT noctis450). The pc had worked fine without any problems the day i started dissembling the parts. So i moved the parts from my old case to the new one. Everything went fine untill i powered on the pc. I got into windows normally, but after a minute my mouse froze. 1st i thought i just had a loose dp cable, but then i noticed that my cpu was at 100celsius. So i shut down my pc and checked if i had any loose cables. Went into BIOS and saw that my cpu_fan was at 0rpm(corsair h115i). I figured the pump was broken so the next day i went and bought a new h115. Installed it but CPU was still at 100celsius. I rechecked cables and connections. Still no results. The AIO doesn't show up on corsairs own LINK software even though it used to before i dissembled the pc. I have the cables connected the same way the manual says. Fans spin and the logo lights up but the pump doesn't make any sound. The pump power cable is connected to cpu_fan1 on my MOBO. I have also tried hooking it up to cpu_fan2 and sys_fan. None of these make the pump run. I have also connected a case fan to both cpu_fan(s) to check if they work, they do. I know i'm doing something wrong but i don't know what it is. I have tried everything that comes to my mind that could make it work but without any results.
I can provide more info full pc specs etc. if needed. If anybody has run into a same type of problem or has nay ideas on how to solve this, feel free to answer.

What are there for specs? Always give out specs when you start a thread. What sort of motherboard do you have? I just built my own monster days before X-mas and have a 1080Ti like you. I am glad it worked out for me.

What motherboard do you have? Do you have access to any port named CPU_AIO? Plug the pump there.

I am not really an expert but when the case fans are working in the CPU_FAN mean while the pump doesn't it could not be the motherboard, really strange. Can you try to just connect the power cable to the pump into another computers CPU_FAN and see if it works there? Only the power cable to spare you some effort. You should feel it vibrate if you hold the pump in your hands.

Very intresting problem really.

A guess, shot in...

A guess, shot in the dark really, but you dont have happend to plug in the USB 1394 into the USB 2.0 controller in the bottom of the motherboard? I almost did that fatal mistake myself when I put togheter my computer, hadn't it been for the warning in the manual I could have burnt my motherboard.

Try another CPU fan in your CPU_FAN port. (if you have a spare or time to steal one from another computer). Just try with plugging in the cable to spare yourself extra work.
Do some research about that liquid cooler you have and see if anyone has run in to the same problem as you.
Do the same research about your current (unknown) motherboard.
Contact the company you bought your components from and see if they can help you out.
