This is my build (list has old GPU current one is the 1060 6gb): https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/pole/saved/Rz4gXL

Problem: GPU is not detected in device manager but detected fine in geforce experience and managed to install the drivers for it. It runs my games fine.

Extra details but might not have any relevance:

  • Before my GTX 660ti died my computer had issues waking up from sleep mode. I would get a HDMI not detected after waking from sleep and had to reboot.

When my gtx 660ti died it stopped being detected in device manager and I had to run off Integrated motherboard graphics.

First time I put in gtx 1060, I failed to instal the new driver through Geforce experience and soon as at happened the resolution of screen reverted to really low. I had to download the driver manually from website and reboot for it to work again.

Ever since my first card died, I've had issues where my computer sometimes takes a good minute or two before detecting my internet connection.

The fans on GPU are louder than I expected.

If you need extra details or tests done let me know ill do my best to provide them.

Solution
In Chipset downloads, it looks like you installed the first driver:
MEI driver - Intel Management Engine

It looks like you did not install the second driver in Chipset downloads:
Intel Chipset Version

Do these require the BIOS flash update through USB or something along those lines. The PC used to work fine detecting GPU etc until recently. I'm also worried having read poeple recommending not messing with BIOS updates if the computer is running fine.

Ill attempt to do those two updates and report back.

You're right I did not expand the list, missed chipset driver and intel chipset software which I assume are the same. Will update
