If you buy a matching 4 stick set, then yes you can still enjoy the performance gains from dual channel. Your performance will not be any better or worse than if you only had two sticks though, as your motherboard does not support quad channel.

You will lose dual channel and thus all performance gains from it. Mixing and matching RAM is risky for system stability. While I see that they are the same brand and frequency, if they have different timing/voltage requirements you're asking for trouble.

so why there are 4 slot RAM for dual channel motherboard ?

is it better to just place 2 RAM (because dual channel will on) rather than insert 4 RAM in dual channel motherboard

What he's saying is you need matching pairs to enjoy dual channel, and you can certainly fill up all slots..as long as they are a matching set. When you start mixing and matching, even a 'similar' set, it may not work. And they always need to be in pairs. You using an odd 3rd slot defeats dual channel.
