Hi,

I’ve barely touched my pc from when I bought it and these are my specs;

Gigabyte GA-7MT-S2P
GeForce GTX 650 Ti
AMD FX-4100 Quad-core Processor
8GB RAM
2TB SSD
Windows 7

(I’m not home at the minute but I can add to the description when I get back).

What I want to know is; if I upgrade my CPU, will basic loading times/ application loading improve, and have a positive knock on the my gaming experience?

Thanks in advance!

Not likely. If you have a 2TB SSD. If your 8GB RAM is two DIMMs, then that config is about as fast as it will get. The FX4100 is not a terribly fast CPU.
You might want to double check the model number of the motherboard. Google search didn't find that model number.

There are several versions of that motherboard and list of supported CPUs differs. You will need to determine the version of the motherboard. There are pictures of each version on Gigabyte's website. The version is also printed to the left of the "Designed in Taipei" on the back of the board.

All of the versions of that motherboard are limited to 95W CPUs. The v 5.0 version will support the latest 8350e CPUs.
Generally, that motherboard is going to limit you pretty badly. I would recommend not spending money on a CPU upgrade and save for an entire system replacement (motherboard, CPU, RAM). That is the best answer.
