I'm wanting to replace my CPU fan that has broke. It's a 70x70x15mm DC 12V 0.60A coolermaster. It is not sold on Amazon (where I like to order my parts).

Other stores sell them, however they take about 1-2 months to arrive plus shipping costs which makes me pay $35 or more in total for a fan.

I've found a fan called uxcell on Amazon. It's a 70x70x15mm DC 12V 0.15A fan. The difference is that it has a lower CFM, and lower amp. This fan runs 4000rpm, while the coolermaster runs 2500rpm. The coolermaster has a higher CFM and higher amp.

Will this effect the temperatures of my CPU? I do not want to run my PC while the cpu is overheating and I haven't ran it for a month now. All of my other case fans broke and just replaced them easily since they are 120mm.

My other option is to take it to best buy and ask them to see why my fans are breaking after 4 months of usage. The new ones i've replaced seem to working fine after 2 months. I could have them replace my cooler/heatsinker so that way i'm not limited to only one CPU fan brand/type.

If you could help me, or give me as much information as possible it'd be very great. Thank you! I'd love to learn. :)

Should I try and buy the uxcell fan, or take it to best buy to replace heatsinker, or fan (I don't know how to replace the heatsinker hahaha and i'm scared i'll mess up something) or just buy the coolermaster fan and wait 1-2 months?

Solution

CPU fans are universal 9/10. What CPU and cooler do you have. As long as it's 4pin, you should be fine.

@krzyimprt, @volkgren

I'm not sure exactly what the specs are, but I remember part of it.

AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz Six-Core
120GB SSD
16GB RAM
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060
1TB HDD, Windows 10 64-bit
AMD 760G chipset

The power supply is "Smart 600w"

I looked on the manufacturer site and it says it has 6 processors, and the brand is
AMD. The whole pc itself is CyberPowerPC, Gamer Xtreme and the item model number is GUA4500A. The Hard Drive interface is "Serial ATA-600" but i'm not sure if that tells anything. I think I remember looking at the motherboard one time and it said FC gigabyte?

I'm not entirely sure what the cooler is. Is there a way to tell?

EDIT: I do have 4 pins around on the cpu_fan motherboard yes :). The uxcell has a 3 pin connector
So will this mean the uxcell is fine to run even if it has lower cfm and amp?

If your cooler has a 70mm fan I would suggest replacing it with a 120mm cooler such as the Hyper 212 or Cryorig H7 so long as your case is wide enough to fit the Hyper 212. Given the different in size and the H7 performs slightly better and is quieter I would recommend the H7.

Got it, thank you guys so much for the help! It really makes me happy. Okay, so I found a fan for the cpu on amazon.
https://www.amazon.com/Evercool-EC7015H12BP-70mm-Bearing-Replacement/dp/B00C11W4C8/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1514841367&sr=1-2-fkmr0&keywords=70x70x15mm+cpu+fan+4+pin+0.60a
This is the link. It's 4 pin. So will this be okay to use? :) Yes, it is only the fan that stopped working. The bearings broke.

Also @Volkgren thank you for the recommendation! I'll think about buying it sometime. I'd love to change my cooler into something better. I heard that the Hyper 212 and Cryorig's are really good. Maybe once I research enough and finding out if it fits my motherboard i'll try swapping out the coolers. ^^
