My current build is...

Asus Z170-A Socket 1151 ATX Motherboard
Intel Core I7-6700K Processor (4 GHz, 8 M Cache, LGA1151)
MSI NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 GAMING X 8GB GDDR5X
G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series F4-2666C15D-8GVR 8 GB (4 GBx2) DDR4 2666 MHz

I'm looking to upgrade to 16gb RAM but can't simply buy two more of the same sticks as they have been discontinued, so my questions are...

Would it be possible to use different sticks with my existing ones, or is that likely to cause a lot of problems?
Is it worth paying the seemingly high price (around £160) to find two more of my existing, discontinued memory?
Or failing that can anyone recommend a good 16gb memory kit that will work OK with my system and provide a decent performance boost? Budget of around £200.

Any advice or help would be really appreciated, thanks

yeah, buy new 2x8GB RAM. It's hard to justify taking a chance that the new RAM will work with the old RAM, especially at today's prices. But you should get a decent price for your old 2x4GB RAM on eBay. Used DDR4 RAM is bringing almost-new prices these days.
