Microphone not working

For some reason, today my microphone stopped working. My headset is a logitech G231 and Windows 10. I tried a different mic on this PC and downloading drivers and neither of those worked. I tried this on a different PC with windows 8 and that worked.

Win10 seems to be having trouble with audio drivers this week. Download (use 'save', not 'install') the latest driver for whatever audio you have (either the board manufacturer, or the company that built the computer, like Dell or Asus). With the new driver in your 'downloads' file, but not installed yet, delete the old driver, using device manager. Once that is done, install the new driver. When it is installed, it will probably ask for a reboot. Do that, and you should be back in business.

That didn't work, maybe I did it wrong. How exactly am I supposed to delete the old driver. Can you go a little more into detail?
