RAM Holdover until Price Drop

I am currently looking to upgrade to a new computer, and am looking at a build on PC Part Picker for around $1500. (https://pcpartpicker.com/guide/rhrxFT/enthusiast-intel-gaming-build)

One thing I cannot stomach, however, is paying $175 for RAM when the prices are so inflated. The PC I am currently using has 14 GB of DDR3 RAM running at 1333 MHZ. Would it be an utter disgrace to my new PC to take two sticks of RAM (probably 8 GB total) from the old one, and put them in the new one to hold it over until prices drop significantly? How much would performance be impacted? And, if it is such a huge problem to use inferior RAM, where can I find decent RAM for less than $170?

P.S. Here is the link to what I'm looking at for the build. Suggestions are welcome.

This falls under the "suck it up, buttercup" theory of life: any new build is going to require DDR4, period. DDR3 won't work in a modern motherboard. And the price of RAM isn't going down anytime soon. Too much demand, not enough fabs, not enough capacity in the fabs that exist. On a positive note, 16GB of RAM should be more than enough to last the lifetime of the rig you build, for virtually any game you might play (especially using an SSD as your primary drive).
