High CPU Temperature with water cooling

I am getting really high CPU temperatures when my computer is under any type of load. At idle when I first turn the computer on the temperature sits between 30 and 40 degrees, but if I go onto a game the temperature rises immediately to between 85 and 90 degrees. Just working on the computer and browsing internet the temperature sits between 50 and 60 degrees. These temps seem really high to me considering I have a water cooling system installed.

MSI X79A-GD45 Plus (MS-7760) Motherboard
Windows 10 64 bit
Intel Core i7-4930K @ 3.40GHz - no overclocking
16.0 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3 GB graphics card
Raijintek Triton AIO Liquid CPU Cooler

I have had the water cooler recently replaced as my previous one died and the computer shop installed the Raijintek one. I have reseated the power cable for the cooler and checked that the cooler block is not loose. I have no experience with water coolers and have none of the packaging that came with the water cooler. What 'rights' do I have regarding the shop that fitted the cooler? Are they under obligation to fix the problem or do I have to pay them to fix the problem? They fitted the cooler around 2 months ago.

Make sure the pump is getting power, If its plugged into the motherboard, you may have to go into the bios and set that fan header to 100%, or plug the pump into the 1 of the PSU leads, you may have to get an adapter. The pump should always have 100% power, Fans speeds can be varied, but Pump always should have 100% power.

Otherwise, I'm not sure what you can do about the shop, I know my shop If a part fails, I will usually work with the customer to get it replaced and install the part normally for free since I always want the customer coming back and if I built it then I feel bad if a part fails. I'd contact them and see if they can work with you, could be a good chance they will work with you on the warranty.

I have checked and the pump has 100% power, I increased the radiator fans but that has not made any significant change to the temperature. I gave the radiator a good shake to remove any air but again no change in temperature. I have no idea how to change and apply new thermal paste but if I did would that void the warranty on the cooler?

If you have a warranty with the computer shop, I would not take the PC apart, But if you do not have a warranty threw the computer shop, you can replace the thermal paste between the CPU and the pump, That will not void the warranty of the cooler or CPU. In fact they would probably tell you to change the thermal paste and see that improves anything.

I would watch some videos or how to guides before attempting to take the block off the CPU, its not hard, but it helps to have something to go by, Your CPU socket is a LGA 2011 so the mounting will be the same from x79, x99, and LGA 2066 is also the same mounting.

I just read up on that cooler, that cooler does not have a vary good reputation, most of them failing. When you have your computer running, put your hand on the pump block and see if you can feel a slight vibration, or hear liquid circulating, might hear some air move around when you fist start the system, thats completely normal, should go away in the first few seconds.

As far as I can tell the pump is running, I took the radiator off and gave it a good shake which released some air bubbles. The idle temp sits around 25-30 degrees now but when I try and play a game the temperature shoots up to 85-90 degrees again. Surely if the issue was thermal paste the idle temperature would be a lot higher? I just do not know what the issue is, but with a water cooled system I should have temperatures a lot lower when gaming
