Steam Isn't working

This problem began to occur a few days ago when I casually opened up steam only to be greeted with:

A blank screen

So i navigated over to my library thinking nothing of it and try to launch CSGO, it doesn't work.

So I go back to store and that STILL hasn't loaded. So I close CSGO through task manager and re-open...

Still Nothing

After raging to my friends on discord we all come to the conclusion that I should just do a fresh reinstall of steam, so I did...

And STILL Nothing!

I have tried literally every solution there is on the internet, and nothing has been able to fix my problem. I've tried to delete certain files, check the integrity of the game files, clean browser cache on steam, done the flush config thing and that didn't work.

I even tried the all time best solution : Turning my PC on and off again which still didn't work. So any help would be greatly appreciated :D

Solution
i dont think so. most likely its another program. but you can disable it, temporarily and run steam and run your game.

as for reinstalling windows, you can do it without losing any apps and data right on your desktop right now. just download teh media creation tool here. choose "keep apps and data". and follow the instructions there. this might take a while. but you can still use your computer while its reupdating your windows in hte background.

it could be your graphics card. have you checked if its running normally in your pc? have you tried reinstalling your driver? best to download DDU. and go to safemode and clean. restart to normal. install the latest driver. and restart. and see if your games are working again.

about the "blank screen". im confused about what you are referring to. is your entire desktop black? but you said you can see the library in your steam app andlaunch your game from there.

When I say black screen I mean the steam window is black with the loading icon in the top right corner and it loads forever. And yes your solution below had been suggested before and I have tried it to no avail...I'm so confused

Well I used big picture mode as it was another suggestion on how to fix it, but big picture just ends up freezing and crashing so I stopped. But however an interesting thing is that whenever I use big picture I can now use the windows (store and community) that were stuck on permanent loading before :p

Done that with AVAST and hitman pro, which picked up a trojan and a bit of malware, but still steam isn't working

since steam checks with your account first in its cloud servers before you launch any games, have you tried. going to Steam menu and click on Go Offline. see if some of your games can open quickly. if it does, there is a problem with your pc trying to resolve the connection with the steam servers.

usually a restart of your pc/router will do, if not, you can also try this to force your internet settings to reset.
open the command console (press "winkey+s". type "cmd". press "ctrl+shift+enter".) type "netsh winsock reset". restart pc.
check if you can open steam normally.

and since youve been hit with a virus. its better to double check also the system files in your windows.
you can open command console again as admin. type "sfc /scannow". see if it has any errors.

OK well, I don't think it's the steam servers since I can still download games? And I can connect on big picture mode to anything.

When I went offline and started CSGO, it said "performing first time setup" with the loading wheel in the wrong place and then the window disappeared and steam crashed...

okay now your games are crashing and confirmed you dont have conenction issues with steam. lets try launching the directx diagnostic tool.
press "winkey+s". type "dxdiag". enter. go thru each tab and check if it reports any problems on the message below.

also turn off all the gaming features of windows. press "winkey+i". gaming. and turn off everything you see thats turned on.

you can check EVent Viewer. just press "winkey+s". type "event viewer". custom view. administrative. and find errors during the times you were trying to open games and it crashes.

you can also try to download and reinstall all your drivers from your motherboards wwebsite. there are issues with drivers after the createors update.

if none of them work, theres always the windows fresh install option :)

the error log you showed me looks like an application hang thats caused by a different app like a virus scanner or something that scans files. you can try uninstalling steam. reinstalling steam. but youve tried that already. you can check your Task Manager. go to startup. and check what programs are tehre. if you see something unfamiliar. then disable/uninstall it.

So do you think that maybe my antivirus is blocking steam?
