Psu help With pci pins

I bought a Psu but it has 8pin pci connector which can be split into two 4pin connector
My graphics card has 6 pin
Is it OK to connect 8pin into the 6 pin connecter and leave the two outside
My graphics card model is evga 1060sc single fan

A 4x4 pin is a CPU power connection to the motherboard.

PCIe would be either 6 pin or a 6+2 pin.

The 4+4 pin needs to be plugged into your motherboard. Your power supply should have another cable that has a 6+2 pin. use the 6pins to plug into Graphics card.

Do note that when you plug the 4+4 pin EPS power cable to your GPU then you'll fry your GPU since 4+4 pin EPS has pinout reversed compared to the 6+2 pin PCI-E power cable.
