My mums bought a new PC finally but she's bought this stupid pc that schools use yanno those dell ones, this is a dell 780 series and you can imagine these cases are really small but what I'm trying to do is find a graphics card that will fit in there I was gonna put a gt 610 that I had laying around in there but the faceplate with the I/Os on there is to long for the case the graphics card itself fits in there its just the faceplate/bracket that doesn't fit. The graphics card needs to be cheap and have a HDMI port on it. Any ideas? Also did the measurement and the faceplate/bracket needs to be less that 4 inches and the length of the card doesn't really matter as I have clearance for about 10 inches and space for 2 bracket positions. Btw please don't have a go at me for actually trying to custom this pc lol.

If the model you have allows a graphics card to be installed, but the case is not a mini tower, then any 'low profile' model of videocard will fit.

However, power becomes an issue. Those Dell power supplies can't handle much, so a low profile card that uses very little power is what you need. A GT 710 is the lowest I'd recommend and that's only if you need something to output HDMI for 1080p and NO gaming. A GT 1030 is the best you can get that also can do some gaming.

you have to watch out with 660 and 780 SFF cases the only video slot only permit for a single slot card to fit in, I have a 660 and I could not fit my GT 720 in it because the slot is right up against the case side, so anything that has a cover/fan/thick heatsink will not fit. its such a pain to be honest I am actually considering migrating my daughters 660 to another case type

I suggest you open the case take a picture where your video card slot is and post it to make sure this is not the case with your system.

A gt 710 and 1030 don't fit as their faceplates are too long

You have to use low-profile brackets in those SFF systems. You also have to be very aware of power requirements. Some Dell (and other OEM) motherboards will only provide 35w at the PCIe slot. This severely limits what GPUs you can use.

That model supports low profile videocards. Sometimes you have to switch between the low profile and full height brackets the manufacturer includes in the box. It can be up to 6 and a half inches long...the card I mean.
