I have been mining on my rig for 5 months, with no errors, crashes, nothing! I also use this rig for browsing the internet, playing wow, coding, etc.... I was playing wow this night when i smelled a burning plastic. I turned off the rig from the wall immediately, thank god I was awake tho. no components seems damaged except the psu slots, and the cables that were plugged into them https://m.imgur.com/a/cpCPM i inspected and nothing else except psu is burned. In sata pheriperal there was a cable plugged in, which connected 4 gpu risers (dunno why since 1050ti dont require power cable) and it burned the most. The 24atx that goes in the mobo also has 2 pins burned. There are no burns on mobo , nor gpu nor cpu nothing, except the psu. components of the rig are asrock h270 performance , 4x 1050ti expedition from asus, 4gb kingston ddr4, intel celeron g3920 ( i think) and corsair rm750i. I paid 150 euros on this psu... why did this happen and what to do? I dont want to try and run my pc with this psu tho, i hope my parts are ok!! Thank you

Simple facts:
1. You are using this as a mining rig, so I assume it is running 24/7
2. You are using at best a mid-range PSU that is NOT designed to run heavy loads for extended periods of time.
3. Excess energy is dissipated as heat, and you are probably running this thing close to max capacity where efficiency is at a low point on Gold certified PSU's.
4. The RM series sucks. As well as most Corsair PSU's. They are way overpriced for what you get.
5. You are using what appears to be 4 GPU's that pull their power from the board, so the single power connecter to the board is requiring upwards of 400W from a single source. I could be wrong on this one.
SO the solution:
I would buy a higher efficiency PSU, with more headroom (wattage buffer) so you are running the thing at peak efficiency, which means less heat and less chance of a meltdown. There are tons of great options out there. I will never use another Corsair PSU in my rig again, not until they start cranking out high-end stuff again. On the High end you should get a Seasonic Prime Ultra Titanium, probably 850W to give a decent buffer. On the low end I would get an EVGA supernova P2.
For you I would figure out what wattage you are running at, and find a PSU with peak efficiency around that wattage. I think most PSU's peak efficiency is around 50%. From the looks of your build that would be about an 800-900W PSU.

Well the gtx 1050 ti on paper draws no more than 75w, full load. So I'd say no more than 450w, including everything else in the rig... The damn psu cooler didnt even spin at all, even at full loads ( dunno why). Ill see if I can have it repaired. Im certain my gpus were not drawing more than 70w each, as I had core, and power limits all the way down, and mem clock was maxed out for ethereum mining), my gpus temp rarely exceeded 55 C. Im sure the psu is fine tho, just need new cables and slots replaced (which were burned). I just hope they dont decline the repair since its physically damaged...
