GTX 980 Ti VS GTX 1070

Should i get a gtx 1070 or gtx 980ti? I can get the latter for about 70$ less than 1070. I've seen it being head to head with gtx 1070 ti after OC.

Then go for the 980ti. It is still quite powerful and should handle that resolution pretty well.

AFAIK, it should not bottleneck considerably. There will always be a bottleneck but since you have OC'ed it, it should give some good performance.

The GTX 1070 is way more powerful than the 980ti, even more powerful than the Titan X.

However, the 980Ti is still a pretty powerful card. If you are playing at 1080p, either is better. Save some money and go for the 980Ti.

If 1440p, I would keep the 1070 simply due to it being more powerful.

Sorry but the 1070 is not way more powerful than a 980Ti. For the most part they trade blows. Infact in superpostion benches my 980Ti has outscored 1070s..

I agree they are not a whole lot more powerful, but they are still more powerful. Although, I do agree that in some games the 980ti is more powerful than the 1070 but maybe by 1-2 more FPS.

Either way, both are powerful cards. For 1080p, you cannot go wrong with either. But for 1440p I would recommend the 1070.
