Hello,

I have 2 r9 280x cards I am running in crossfire.

I recently tried to switch the positions of the cards to see if the temperature will decrease.

After I switched the card positions, I reset the BIOS.

After this, only the top card works. Doesn't matter which card is in the top, the bios sees only the top card.

I thought the second skit was broken.. so I tested it with an old Nvidia GTX 520. The motherboard sees this gt 520. After this, I tried a GTX 780, and the motherboard saw it as well in the bottom slot....

So whichever 280x I put in the bottom, the motherboard doesn't see it, and both 280x cards work just fine...

Both 280x cards work... And clearly the last slot works since it will see the gt 520 and gtx 780. This makes no sense to me... How come all of a sudden its not working! How come it doesn't want to see the 280xs but will see the 520 and 780?

Any tips to fix this?

Thank you!

Yeah, I did, to no avail.
I really don't understand the issue here... Nvidia cards work in the bottom slot..
I just want to run the crossfire.

Thanks for your help.

I too think that is the problem, but I can't find a way to do this.
It's using Asrock 970 Extreme 3 R2.0.
Can't find this option
