Hello peoples!!!
System specs
CPU- Intel Pentium G4560 @ 3.5Ghz
GPU- R9 280x windforce
RAM- 16GB 2400Mhz Corsair Vengence 4x4 +++for some reason it runs at 2133mhz
MOBO- MSI B250 GAMING M3
Storage- WD BLUE 1TB with 260GB remaining
Monitor- Asus 1680x1050
PSU- Corsair VS650 650watt
Hello people my pc (specs listed above) is about 1 year old. When I first got it, it ran smoothly and never lagged. Now my pc runs like a potato, I have run a full pc scans for malware, I have made sure my drivers were not corrupted (this happened to me before i updated them with steam driver booster and they got corrupted) I have also tried to optimize my games but they still run like crap

Heres what frames i get in games (it rhymes lol)

CS:GO
High settings
Min 9fps Avg 90fps Max 160fps
This experience was unplayable when ever i would look around quickly i would get serious drops and i also got alot of stutter

PUBG
Low to very low
Min 23 Avg 34 Max 59
This was also unplayable, I would go near a city and I would go to around 20 fps. If I got into a fire fight i would get very unstable fps for example, I'm happy i have got 39 fps *gets into a fire fight* 23fps, 12fps, 40fps, 10fps. PUBG also had lots and lots of stutter when i move my camera

Rainbow Six Siege
medium
Min 35 Avg 50 Max 60
This was playable except for lots of stutter

Borderlands 2
High
Min 29 Avg 55 Max 75
Playable but with a little bit of stutter

ARMA 3 ooooh noooo
Lowest (multiplayer with 60 people)
v Out of towns v
Min 30 Avg 39 Max 50
v In towns v
Min 4 Avg 23 Max 32
Unplayable...
this is one of my favourite games as well

SO my pc runs like a potato i cant play any of my favourite games and i cant find a solution to this problem

Is you would like to ask any questions just ask

Hey buddy! I'd start off by stress testing it and seeing if there's any thermal throttling for the components. If there is any thermal throttling it is most likely because of a broken fan, dust buildup or thermal paste wearing out. However, I doubt that this is the cause of the issue unless you're using your PC as a vacuum since it's only a year old. Heat is generally one of the main issues when it comes to a PC slowing down, but your PC is quite new so here are a few more problems that may be causing this and the solutions:

>>> ADDITIONAL POSSIBLE ISSUES AND SOLUTIONS<<<
- Your ram is not installed properly, maybe you took your PC apart and didn't push the ram in. This would explain the stuttering. Easiest way to check is go to task manager > performance and look at the ram installed (should say 16gb).
- Check if your hardware is all functional. Eg. Your GPU may be broken and you're using integrated graphics inside your CPU, which is awful D: . Monitor your usage in game using MSI afterburner (plenty of youtube tutorials) and check whether your GPU is showing up as a piece of hardware and the usage of your components under load.
- Open task manager and see if any programs are using up you ram.
- As stuttering seems to be an issue that is popping up a lot, I'd check to see if any of your ram sticks are faulty.

So that's it from me, hope I've been helpful. Goodluck in your PC repairs :D

Hey I will change the thermal paste that came with it and dust out my pc
even though my gpu runs at 60 and cpu at 50 degrees celsius

I dont think my ram is faulty unless corsair sent me the wrong one when i bought it, it was labeled as 2400mhz
+i have very good airflow in my case

I thinks its my cpu's hyperthreading because my cpus percentage gets taken up alot like a old dual core when mine is a hyperthreaded dual core

How do i check if its enabled?

I don't believe that you need to "enable" hyper threading, it's automatic and built in. Just like how you don't need to "enable" a quad core. However, if you are multi-tasking then it would explain a lot of stutters. I would open task manager when you're gaming and idle to see what programs are using most of your CPU. If it is only the game using your CPU then you may have a faulty CPU or it could be degrading. I've never owned a G4560 myself so I can't confirm it's durability or performance, but I can say that it should handle the games you've listed just fine if paired with a good GPU. I've never owned your GPU either, so I can't really say if it's under performing or not.

Your temps are basically perfect so I doubt it's the CPU degrading though. If you can confirm that your RAM is installed properly and not faulty and be sure that there are no other task eating away at your CPU power then unfortunately I'm clueless as well. Your best bet may be to simply go into a PC repair shop. Before you do so however, like I said you should monitor GPU and CPU (as well as RAM) usage using MSI afterburner to see what is causing the problem. If this doesn't solve your issues then you may unfortunately have to pay your local PC repair shop a visit D:

I guess you have a couple last options such as updating your old drivers and keeping them all up to date. If even that doesn't work then you might want to wipe everything and reinstall windows (make sure you backup important files like games, photos etc.). Otherwise I'm out of ideas, hope you can fix your issue with the solutions above.
