I'm looking for advice, is this a good PC to build? Would you change anything?

https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Elek/saved/jwB9WZ

Why am I looking to upgrade?

I live in New Zealand and currently run on an old pc:

AMD FX-4300 CPU, with a newly fitted Radeon RX 460, DDR3-1600 8GB ram.

EDIT: I will be using a 240 GB SSD from the old rig

I am looking to be able to run modern AAA titles at max settings with ease and also be capable of light content creation and editing.

I already own a 1080p 60hz monitor and Windows 10 OS

I am looking to overclock the Ryzen 5 1600 to the performance of a 1600x

A budget of around $2000 NZD is what im going for

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Problem is he's using partpickers with US as location and he's from NZ. The PSU he want isn't available in NZ, a lot of stuff are going to be dependent on availability locally.

On the otherhand, the US price on that GTX 1070 is nuts. At $599 you're better of getting a hybrid GTX 1080.

I see now , thpught there was a big difference in prices.

Over budget but the 1070ti is worth the extra imo.

How does this build size up vs the Intel build maxalge suggested?
I know that Intel is typically more suitable for gaming, with the Ryzen being much more well-rounded at other tasks.
If it were up to you, which one would you go for and why?

I thought the higher end intel processors worked best with ddr4 3200 mhz ram, but ill take your word for it and switch to the 2666mhz model.
