ASUSGPUFanServiceEx.exe has stopped working. Please Help

I have just gotten the error message above. I checked my gpu's fans and they are not spinning. My graphics card is a Asus ROG gtx 1070 strix.

Edit: I have reinstalled the nvidia drivers but the error message still keeps showing. My fans are also spinning now however I keep getting the same message. Any help would be appriciated

Asus GPUS have a 0 decibel FAN technologie. The FANS wont spin till the GPU has reached a certain temp. Try reinstalling Asus GPU tweak 2 if you have it.

you have to delete the last windows security update 04-01-2018 and it will work again

How is this the best answer and the thread solved? Those were security patches, uninstalling is an unacceptable risk.

I would not uninstall that patch. Those are the Windows fixes for the Intel and AMD vulnerabilities recently detected. It would be better to escalate this problem to ASUS so that they can patch their software to work with the update.

Dont use AI suite then. The only thing it does is crash your system anyway

The new security patch denies access to kernel.dll or something like that when gpu tweak II is opened or profile is changed
That's what i think it happened, i used visual studio debugger to investigate

go to the ASUS Support website and down the new updated version and the uninstall the old one and install the new patched one for the win 10 update .

^ This. I just installed the new version from https://www.asus.com/supportonly/GPUTweak%20II/HelpDesk_Download/ , and so far it seems to work. I did have to redo the Fan Expert setup again through AI Suite afterwards, but it wasn't that much effort.
