will win7 recovery disks make a win xp - a windows 7

we have 2 computers - one is an XP and one a windows 7.
both are toshiba.
if i use the win7 recovery disks on the XP will it turn it into a windows 7?
thanks all

PS hard drive sizes are different

it may install windows 7 on it but it won't activate. a windows XP licence will not cover a windows 7 upgrade. add to the fact the recovery media is only for your Toshiba windows 7 computer and is not meant to be used on any other computer or model of Toshiba PC
