Hi guys,

Just got a new M.2 WD Black SSD and it isn't as fast as it should be. My Sequential Read is about 1400 MB/s while the quoted spec is 2050 MB/s. I am running a brand new install of Windows 10 64 bit ( not activated yet ) and I have the 512 GB drive.

Any information to why this is happening and how to speed it up would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

The quotes spec speeds are "up to", and would be in a perfect situation.

Are you quantifying what you currently have through a benchmark? Or file transfer?

What motherboard do you have this on? For example, if you're on Z97 (unlikely, I'd assume), there's only x2 not x4.

The computer has an AsRock Z370 Extreme4 I7 8700K, 16Gb 3200 MHz Corsair Ram, an Nvidia Titan Xp, EVGA 750 G2 and 2 Sata Samsumg SSDs

I tried CrystalDiskMark and the Samsumg Drive Benchmark tool. The board is a Z370 Extrene4 by AsRock
