Hi there, a friend of mine is looking for a gaming/streaming PC, for around 1800 euros which is roughly $2100 and £1600. The parts will be bought from Germany, so I should think all parts will be available there, so just the names of them will do. He will mostly use it for gaming, but also streaming, which I guess would go well with a Nvidia GPU since it has ShadowPlay feature, but I'm not sure. AMD or Intel, both are fine.

Hope you like it :)

If you just want a link to someplace you can find various German suppliers, keep track of costs and compatibility, and even tag what has already been purchased: https://de.pcpartpicker.com/
you got a supplier that isn't recognized on their list? No problem, you can manually enter a price, or go to a custom entry where a URL will work, OR (upon signing in) manually creating a custom entry if the part isn't found on their site.

If you want advice on various parts, ask away. (here, or on pcpartpicker. Note that I think here at Toms, there is a little more maturity in the responses.)

Taking some time here to assemble a parts list for you:

This includes OS, keyboard and mouse.
Monitor is extra, as is audio (speakers and/or headset.)
Please let us know if the monitor is needed so we can adjust accordingly.

Thanks for the answers.
Any peripherals are not needed. Neither the OS, sorry should of specified.
About the parts, as I thought it would be between I7-8700K and some Ryzen. The question is which, I heard the Ryzen is amazing at multitasking with it's cores and threads. I also heard that Intel just suffered a major vulnerability, which only OS manufactures can patch and that will take away up to 30% performance on all Intel CPU's depending on task, so I think that a Ryzen build might be suited better, not sure.
Also the idea of a GTX 1080TI sounds, that would surely last a a good couple of years.
As for the rest well, I'm guessing the the difference is minimal. Could the extra $100 from the OS and keyboards be used on something better?

- If he's not overclocking, it's fine.
- Is it? Got a friend that has it and doesn't have a problem... Will look further into the matter. Thanks for the tip. :)
- Completely agree, but PcPartPicker is very poor on germany(don't know why tho). I didn't want to put a 550W unit there because of the 1080Ti but couldn't find a less stronger unit for a reasonable price... Compared to this 550W unit(https://de.pcpartpicker.com/product/N6X2FT/evga-power-supply-220gs0550v1) for just $10 more he gets 300W more... Seems a pretty nice deal if you ask me

the 1700 will overclock to match a 1800X (3.8 or 3.9 GHz), while the savings over the 8700K allows higher quality parts, notably the PSU, Mobo, RAM, and huge 1.1 TB SSD. the Cooler could also be removed as the Wraith Spire is fairly good for a 3.8GHz overclock.

given that the 1700 will give you smooth streaming at ~100 FPS, it should be great for all streaming.

Yes, it can...

Here is a revised version of the first build I offered up. This one is upgraded to a GTX-1080Ti (which is way overkill for just 1080p gaming.) There have been some other changes to allow for that GPU though.

AMD will get you better streaming.
Intel will get you better gameplay.

Decide on which is the higher priority.
