lenovo yoga 3 14 will not power up & blinking power light

i have a lenovo yoga 3 14 that will not power up. i read it might be the power supply, but when i plugged the new one in, the power light was amber/orange and flickered every 3 secs. after a while it changed to white (no flicker) but with the same result: no boot, no nothing.

might it be the battery or some other tricky disconnect-bios-battery-or-something fix?

an update. i took out the battery, plugged the power cord in, pressed the power button and a white light turned on for 5 seconds, then turned off with no boot whatsoever.

any ideas?

Hi, I'm having the same problem. The only way to boot a laptop is disconnect the battery from motherboard and then plug in, PC boots up (you can plugin battery or leave PC without it). I checked the battery health and it shows that battery is 86%. PC is more than 2 years old, so i think it can be battery. But the new one cost ~100 Eur. It is the price to check if problem is because of battery. I'd like to know what voltage battery should be for normal work. I'm using batteryinfoview to check battery params. Can anybody write what normal parameters should be for normal healthy battery. My PC model is lenovo yoga 3 14 80JH.

i have the same laptop(yoga 310)and i have experienced with this problem unplug the battery and connect your laptop with AC power and power it up.afer the laptop turned on plug the battery and charge it fully for about 8 hours.it might help you.but after i fixed my laptop it works for 6 month.now it wont turn it on and it charges but while i press the power button it blinks but no power no fun. can any boy help me out ..

Now I have got a new battery. When battery was inserted and cold, I can turn on and off about 10 times. But when battery charging reached more then 50% everything got the same and blinking on turning on. Now I believe it is motherboard failure, but it should be something wrong with power controller. I this this is the end, don't know what to do anymore.
