Hello, I recently upgraded my pc and I have it working fine but when I play games or usually running a big application, the buzzing noise occurs and it's really annoying. Some people have said it is the cpu and others the gpu. The noise comes from around there. And when im not doing anything to big the buzz dosent go on. Both the gpu and cpu are new.
My specs:
Asus tuf z270 mark 1
Evga gtx 1060 ftw
Intel core i5
Any help would be very much appreciated!

More than likely it's the PSU that is the problem, but let us know what it is.

Im suspecting its a coil whibe from the graphics card and the psu never gave me problems but ig you never know.

I doubt it, since it's not only in gaming that it happens.

So what can be wrong with the psu?

Thermaltake isn't exactly the best brand out there.

Let us know what model it is.

Ok will do in the morning. Although i was sure that i didnt hear the noise in the psu.

That's what I thought, that's NOT a good PSU at all, one of the very worst actually.

I highly recommend getting a better quality unit.

Seasonic Focus Plus 550W
Seasonic G-550W
Corsair RMX 550W
Corsair TXM 550W
EVGA G2 or G3 550W

Thanks so much and i confirmed the noise is coming from the cpu area so is the psu actually causing the noise to happen?

What do you mean CPU area?

What cooler do you have?

I have the fan and paste that came with the cpu and the case fans

OK, replace the PSU, that really need to be done anyway for the life of your system.

Yeah, and will that help the problem?

I would say so, the buzzing is coming from the PSU or causing it, replace the PSU before it takes out the MB or the GPU.
