I just purchased a low-end gaming mouse (Trust GXT 155). Trust's software leaves a lot to be desired in terms of customisation and the scroll whell LED colour cannot be changed. According to Trust this is because it serves as a "profile indicator" (from Trust's FAQ page):
"The scroll wheel LED is linked to the 5 profiles that are available.
Yellow = Profile 1
Green = Profile 2
Blue = Profile 3
Purple = Profile 4
Red = Profile 5
For information on setting up profiles, please refer to the manual."
My assumption is that, could you only open the profile.pfd file you could edit the hex colour code for the scroll wheel and set it to whichever colour you like (within the limitations of the LED).
The .pfd file is a mess in Notepad and while it opens in a Hex editor I'm not really sure what to do with it.
Has anyone tried anything similar? Any suggestions? Would be kinda cool to figure it out
Cheers, Dan
