I built my first PC last week and it has been running fine until today, a few minutes after start up with will freeze completely to where the mouse and the keyboard are unresponsive. I've tried reinstalling windows 10 and starting fresh but it still freezes. Sometimes when restarting it says there was a problem with windows. I tried to reinstall windows via USB and it still froze.

Solution
Hard freezes, like you describe, can be a memory issue. Make sure yours are seated properly and if you have 2x sticks take one stick out and boot again. Swap and try again. If they're suspect you can run MemTest86 to confirm.
