My friend doesn't know that much about PC building and he has assigned me part picking privileges. Hes got a 1500$ budget, but the problem i'm having is with the RAM/Motherboard compatibility. The MOBO is a Gigabyte - GA-AB350-GAMING 3 ATX AM4 Motherboard (on PCPartPicker) and the RAM is Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory (on PCPartPicker). The MOBO specs say it is compatible with 2933 and 3200, and the RAM is 3000. The site isn't telling me they wouldn't be compatible, but I don't want to tell him to buy it until I KNOW it will work.

Ok thanks man. Just wasn't completely sure if they would be since the Mobo page wasn't specifying 3000.

For future reference, you should always refer these questions to https://pcpartpicker.com/
That website will let you make these builds digitally, and will tell you if you are putting something together, and your power supply is to small, you ram wont work on that board, you cpu goes to a different socket then the board you chose were. Works like a charm! Especially once you figure out the part of the building where you can paste the link to the purchase page of each component, to make sure you're doing it the right way.
