I have a Seagate 1.5Tb external hard drive that uses a (removable) SATA>USB connector. It has stopped working via USB. It tries to power up but fails repeatedly. I've connected it via SATA as an internal hard drive and it is working. Would you recommend this as a long term solution or should I copy all my data and dump it? Is it likely to fail in its current setup?
