I'm currently using a 1060 and I think it's pretty good, but I've decided that i'm going to upgrade to a 980ti. I know that it will be a bottleneck but how bad would it be?

Solution
Before you upgrade to the 980TI, what's your power supply? Because the 980ti power requirements are much higher than the 1060.

you can see if your 2600 is currently holding back your 1060, if it does, then putting a 980ti will not improve your gaming.
use HWINFO, and see Total Cpu Usage and Max Thread usage are pegged at 100% and your video card GPU Core load, ad Memory Usage. are less. then your Cpu is already bottlenecking .

The only reason to upgrade from a 1060 to a 980ti is because you have a better monitor, considering your cpu, you will not get any or minimal (less than 10FPS) improvement in your gaming.
