So for my first build I was set on going with the 1060 6gb, then I was interested in having SLI or Crossfire, just for a little more but would it be worth it? The main reason is for gaming, I am new to PC gaming (not really) but have not played much of the Tripple A titles or E sports games because my PC is to SH*T to handle games, my current system is a Sony vaio laptop that is incredible terrible, it's running on an Intel core 2 duo, 4gb of ram, and an Ati radeon hd 3450 (I believe), only games that can be played is LOL, even minecraft is a terrible experience, CSGO cant even be run for 20 min. But yeah I want to know a worth it but affordable SLI or Crossfire X that can handle every game 50 fps or higher on Max.

Oh and do ya'll know of any SLI or CF X supported matx mobo's?

Thanks! (New member of Tom's Hardware)

Solution
SLI/Crossfire isn't worth it, your money is better spent on a single more powerful card. The issue is that very few games support it, like less then 10% and even fewer are optimized well for it with some games running better off one card.

your best bet is to start a new thread with your budget and the location where you live, and ask the good people of tom's to post the best rig they can for you
