XPS 9560 - Looking for a USB-C hub which will not cause the fans to spin

I have an XPS 9560, I7 1080p full battery variant, and I love how quiet it can be unless under load, which helps a lot when I work or record music.
But two USB ports are few, as I have external keyboard, audio card and other devices, and had no luck finding a usb 3.0 hub which could power an external hard drive.

So I went for a usb-C hub. It works fine, but pretty much as soon as I plug it in, the fans will start spinning and never stop until I unplug it. When I unplug it, they will stop almost immediately.
This happens even with no devices connected to the hub, the computer is running no applications beyond Win 10, the load is under 2%, and throttlestop shows very low temperatures (38C).
It might be a driver problem, or perhaps a consequence of motherboard design from Dell.
This is the hub giving me problems: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0772GJ25R/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I was wondering if anybody could point me to a usb-c hub, perhaps on amazon, which you have used and know not to cause this problem. At least not when using low power usb dongles such as controllers wifi and such.

Thanks for getting back to me!
My problem here is that my external hard disks, a 4tb from WD and an enclosure with a samsung SSD in it, do not seem to work at all with my USB 3.0 hub.
Interestingly, my old 1tb toshiba will power on when plugged in the same hub.
The solution would probably be to connect the hub to a power supply, but that does not fit my need to carry around the laptop.

The enclosure does not power hub with the USB-c hub either, but the 4tb WD does work fine with it.

In any case, I talked with Dell about this, and they basically replied that the fans starting to spin immediately is a "feature" given usb-c devices can in principle draw much more current that usb 3.0

So, they would only fix that with a bios update if many people complained about it, which does not seem to be the case for the moment.
Incidentally, this is just what happen with the previous model, the xps 9550. People complained about the usb-c triggering the fans with no load and in 2016 Dell released a bios update fixing it, but for the moment I have no much hope they will do the same for the 9560.

Actually, perhaps I should remove my question, givne it sounds that the problem does not depend from the specific usb-c hub, but rather by the laptop?
