So i wanted to build the most powerful budget system i could. I picked an old Asus P5K with an c2d E8400 @3.00Ghz (planned to replace it with a xeon x5460 in the future) with a set of 2 1gb ram sticks (total 2gb)
The computer was working perfect until i borrowed another 2 sticks of 1gb from a friend and installed it on MB (4 ram slots) So i totally had 4gb of DDR2 ram with 4 sticks, 1gb each.
When i installed my friend's ram my computer started freezing after like 1 or 2 hours or even 30 mins after boot when i was either just using chrome or when being in a discord call. When i say crashing i mean a complete freeze that made any sound just stretch.

But, the sticks i originally had were 1.8volts and the borrowed ones were on 2.2volts with different frequencies and brands aswell and i thought that this factor caused to PC to crash. i removed my friends sticks and the computer never crashed again.

After some months i bought this kit off ebay ( https://www.ebay.com/itm/8GB-Kit-4x-2GB-For-Samsung-DDR2-800MHz-PC-Desktop-Memory-PC2-6400-DIMM-Ram/272920186351?hash=item3f8b4f8def:g:u2kAAOSw0wRaAn26 ) and when it arrived i installed it to see that the PC was crashing again after a fair amount of time.

Then i did several tests by removing sticks to detect any possible faulty socket and i ended up having 2 sticks of 2gb (4gb in total) and in the excact same slots as my previous ram and it kept crashing. And made the conclusion that this MB cant handle more than 2gb of ram without crashing.

PS: i did put the 2 sticks in the same color on the test of the 4gb in total.

Here are some CPU-Z screenshots (screenshots were taken with the full 8gb kit)

Ram: http://prntscr.com/hwtx7n (all the slots had the same numbers)

MB: http://prntscr.com/hwty04

CPU if needed idk: http://prntscr.com/hwtyax

Solution
If the 2GB sticks are of high density, they will not work properly.

Most eBay listing sells high density. Try a low density 2GB stick.

All spec hint that it will indeed support 4x2GB configuration
