Which low profile GPU for Dell Optiplex 3010?

Solution
The Dell PSU can power the PCIe slot just fine. They can run a smaller PSU due to the 95W CPU limit they have, and the small number of expansion slots and drive bays in the smaller cases. Of more concern is the 50W PCIe slot limit on the DT, and SFF size motherboards. Many people have ignored this succesfully, but you're definitely on your own there. The risk would be a blown motherboard. Safe bet would be the GT1030. If you have the MT case you don't need a low profile card and the 1050 would be a good choice. There was a 275W SFF PSU for the Optiplex 745,Dimension 9200c, XPS210. But it was for BTX layout so the cables might be the wrong length.

The problem with most pre-built systems is the power supply is just adequate for the PC with no extra to add a GPU.
The Dell Optiplex has a 240W small form factor - 265W tower PSU.
The minimum spec for most graphics cards is 300W, including the GTX 1050.

I have read of many people doing it anyway and it will probably work . . . but I don't know what will happen?
