Can you link the PSU , THE ONE YOU HAVE?
What and how many PCIE connections does it have?
Should have 2 make sure you have them both , and should be fine but it's not a great PSU in terms of quality.

the psu has 2 x 6+2 pcie connections. and 400w on the 12v rail. it should be fine for a low power i3 and a 970. i'd not try to set any overclocking records with the gpu but running it at stock speeds should not be an issue on that psu.
