I need to do this for... reasons. But i was wondering if i could. Basically i have a 1070 in my pc and i want to plug in a vga monitor into it, but cant because the gpu doesnt have a vga out. Can i disable my gpu TEMPORARILY and use the onboard cpu graphics while using my mobo video output safely withou messing anything up?

Solution
I once had to send in my GPU for warranty repair and yes i had to use my on board CPU graphics if the CPU you have supports it. Just unplug the 1070 from the motherboard and store it in a safe place ( Box in the box i suggest ) and place it somewhere so when you get the monitor or cable. you can simply plugin the 1070
