cpu temps are a bit odd

so i built a computer about a few months ago and my cpu temps were about 20 idle and about 30-40 Celsius while gaming. my friends pc however crapped out on him and so i sold him mine and built a new one (ryzen 5 1600x and an asus b350 f motherboard). i got it up and running fine, and i downloaded core temp to check to see if my water cooler was working properly (other computer i put too much thermal paste and there wasnt a solid connection with the pump) and the cpu was running at about 20 Celsius which i know is a safe temp. but it jumps about 9-10 degrees in a second and then floats back down to 20 and then a few seconds later, it jumps back up again, i know a bit of fluctuation is normal but 10 degrees?

edit: forgot to mention, when i stress test the cpu using prime95 the temps dont go over 35 celsius. the test was for like 5 or 10 minutes, wasnt really paying too much attention, just making sure my temps were at a safe level.

Temps will jump mostly anytime because of how quickly the CPU heats up and cools from applications. If your temps stay cool when gaming you're perfectly fine and don't need to worry
