My computer stopped running certain games (but not all games) early last year and I can't figure out a way to get it to work again. Happened around the time I upgraded my GPU AND my OS from Windows 8 to 10. I open Event Viewer when I open one of these games and this is what it gives me:
Faulting application name: FiveNightsatFreddys.exe, version: 1.131.0.0, time stamp: 0x5562d670
Faulting module name: unknown, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x63c8753d
Faulting process id: 0x47ac
Faulting application start time: 0x01d3875642ba4f8a
Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Five Nights at Freddy's\FiveNightsatFreddys.exe
Faulting module path: unknown
Report Id: bcfdfa80-46c3-4615-a7f2-f309dc721636
Faulting package full name:
Faulting package-relative application ID:

Is anyone able to assist with this information?
My specs are as follows:
Case: NZXT S340 Mid-Tower
CPU: Intel i7-4790 3.60 GHz Quad-Core
CPU Cooler: Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 5

HDD: 2TB 7200 RPM

Solution
I think this is one of those "start from the beginning" scenarios. Backup all of your data (only the data). Wipe, partition and format the HDD, then remove it from the system. Format the SSD, and do a virgin, clean install of Win10 using the version that you just downloaded and put on a USB install stick today (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10). Then use "settings->Update & Security->Windows Update->Check for updates" to ensure everything is totally up to date. Make sure you have the latest video card driver installed. DO NOT INSTALL THE OLD HDD!!

Is Windows running like it should be? Great. Reinstall the wiped, partitioned and formatted HDD. Remember this: Windows basically requires that...

I've also uninstalled/reinstalled just about everything. Games, Steam, Drivers, C++, you name it. I've been trying to get a resolution for almost a year.

Is Windows running like it should be? Great. Reinstall the wiped, partitioned and formatted HDD. Remember this: Windows basically requires that applications be installed on the C:\ boot drive. You have a tiny SSD/boot drive. If you are trying to install your programs to the larger, secondary HDD, that may be the source of your problems.

Load one of your games, FROM THE ORIGINAL SOURCE MEDIA, making sure it updates itself online. Play it. Is it working like it should? Great! Load one more game, update it, play it, continue.

If you have problems right after you install Win10, but before you do anything else, you have a hardware problem. If you load one of the games and you start having problems, you know what's causing it.

This is going to be a long, painstaking process, but there really isn't any other way to go about it (short of buying a new computer...)
