So i had this computer which i used for daily tasks and light gaming such as CSGO and similar, the processor at the time was an AMD A8-7600 APU, and then a cousin gave me a gtx 1070 (i used to build pc's for friends so i knew about the huge bottleneck coming in) and so i installed it and it worked like a charm no problem, i played with it over 7 months because i did not mind the bottleneck as i only played stuff like csgo, lol, dota etc... but i atarted getting into heavier games cuz the gpu was more than capable, the bottleneck was noticeable so i overclocked it to 3.9Ghz and it worked great (for a while) i got into more heavy games with time and so the apu was not being enough and was holding me back, i decided to upgrade (not a big upgrade lol) and i bought a Amd Athlon X4 845 but when i installed it, after i booted up everything on the case looked normal, lights and beeps going normally, fans working and stuff, but no image on display, like nothing at all not even the bios screen or something, so i resetted the cmos, and tried again, not working again, i had updated the bios but i double checked so i installed the a8 7600 again (pc works normally) and updated bios with @Gygabite and tried again, also all this is with the GPU disconnected, and so i tried again and nothing, that was minutes from writing all this in search for help, in the meantime im gonna use the computer with my old a8 Thanks in advance!!

funny little thing i noticed, i have an RGB lighted keyboard, and if you have one then you most probably have noticed that lightz turn on and off while the pc boots, and it does that when i have the new CPU inserted, and most importantly my pc does not let my keyboard toggle on or off the caps block if the computer is not at least on the windows login screen, and funny enough after my pc finishes the keyboard light cycle its funny cuz it lets me turn on and off caps block meaning that it most probably is loading at some point, but showing no image

Does your motherboard support the new CPU? Not just in socket but in the amount of cores. Yes I read previously that someone bought an i3 to a high end mobo which supported an i5 at minimum. I am not questioning your logic, it is just a shot in the dark.

Does your motherboard have an embedded GPU you can use to atleast get picture to your monitor. If you have and it works we can point the problem to your GPU.

Edit: Your nick! Kick his ass Seabass (dumb dumber) :D

As I never got a reply on my first questions, and you expect my help I'll just repeat myself. Does your motherboard support the new CPU? What motherboard do you have?

If you try the embedded GPU located AT your motherboard you can test to get picture from it. IF YOU DON'T get picture then you know it's not your GPU that's fishy but rather the CPU or motherboard itself. I am giving you these directions in order to narrow down the situation to be able to help you out further and faster.

I would have expect some others guys to at least give you a reply. I am not an expert really, but give us a list of all your specs.

Example:

Motherboard
PSU
RAM
CPU
GPU
Case

sure dude (Od1n), yes my cpu is supported by my motherboard as it is quad core just as the a8, and here are my specs:
-CPU: AMD A8-7600 (switching to X4 845)
-GPU: Nvidia GTX 1070 FE (@stock)
-PSU: EVGA bronze 600W
-MoBo: F2A68HM-H (fm2 and fm2+ support)
-Cooler: Hyper 212 EVO from cooler master
and that is it, did i miss anything?

Ok so i'm sorry guys i am a big freaking idiot lol... my first try i did iy with the gpu conected but it did not work and the i switched to the a8 to check if the MoBo had gone bum bum, but hey i did that without the gpu, then you guys where emphazising on the gpu... i was like wth?! and then i noticed the box said "requires discrete gpu" and maybe the cpu was working after the cmos reset or after the bios update double check, but since i was trying without the gpu conected i was getting no image OMG i'm sorry truly guys!!! thanks btw!!!
