Nvidia GPU not detcted on Desktop PC

I insert my nvidia gpu into my motherboard, on boot the fan starts running. Fully booted i put in the disc into my disc drive and install the software but it says hardware cannot be found

People always recommend not using the included disc with motherboards, GPU, Etc. Because of the problem they can be outdated. What is the Video Card you currently have

Make sure you plug the monitor into the gpu not the mobo. Do this with the pc off so the mobo will switch to the gpu on boot. You don't want to use the cd.

If after all of that, if the GPU is still not detected, make sure you have power connectors plugged into the GPU. If the GPU doesn't have enough power to it then the system will not turn it on, and if it does not turn on Windows will not detect it.
