I bough a wireless receiver to help me connect my Xbox 360 wireless controller to my PC. It's not a microsoft brand receiver, just a generic one i bought off amazon. I got it to recognize it fine, and it does not show in Devices Manager as "unrecognized device" or anything like that. It's fully connected to the computer. So, I attempted to connect my Xbox controller to it, and... it wouldn't. I'd press the connection button on the receiver and then on the controller, and like it should, the ring around the guide button would go from flashing to circling. But then, after about 10 seconds, it would go back to flashing, instead of just a quadrant lighting up as if it were connected. Another thing I'd like to add is that the light on the receiver only blinks for about 20 seconds before going back to unblinking. I'm clueless as to what to do about this, because it does recognize the receiver as a device, and the driver is up to date, but the controller just will not connect. If it matters, I'm running windows 7. Thank you!!
