Hi, i'm just getting into PC Gaming, i bought an Asus Laptop for my job and i can play some games on it, and i want to build my own custom rig, but i've been having this problem on my Laptop and a mac that i have, i'm not getting my full internet speed, while i'm downloading games on steam, i only get 6-7mb/sec down and i have 50down , also, when i'm playing online even though i have ethernet i rubberband a lot and lag in voice chat, same thing happens on my mac but when i do a speedtest everything seems to be ok, so i don't know if it's a problem that only has to do with gaming. On the other hand, when i play in console i get my full download speed and can play with no issues, does anyone know why this happens?

Thank you in advance :)

Maybe your laptop stands in place where it is not getting 100% of wifi signal. I would suggest to buy usb wifi adapter with replacable antenna like ASUS USB-AC56

You can than plug additional antenna that stands in the right place to catch full wifi signal.

You can also use normal LAN cable and use LAN instead of wifi from your router. these cables are cheap.
