Hello, and thanks for your time.
About a week back I purchased a new motherboard, the MSI Z270 gaming pro carbon, 16gb of ram and a new cpu. Today I installed these new parts and my computer started up just fine except for the fact that my Ethernet did not work so I couldn't go on the internet to install my drivers.

This wouldn't have been such an issue as I just went on my laptop, installed the drivers on a usb and put that into my computer. The problem here is that my computer will not recognize and allow me to access the usb despite the fact that my mouse and keyboard work just fine.

I have no idea how to fix this and install my drivers as I can't access the internet and can't detect any USBs. Please help me

Solution
Windows 7 install media does not have modern usb drivers.
Your simplest solution is to buy a sata based dvd drive for about $15 and use the cd that came with the motherboard to install the lan drivers along with the usb and other drivers.

Well I've had windows 7 on my SSD since I got my computer 2 years ago, my hard drive has all my games on it so I'd rather not do a clean install
