Mic only works in discord

So I got a new pc (gtx 1050ti,k ryzen 3 1200, 8gb ram and a asus 320m-k mobo) but im using my spare HDD that I had from my old one. When I go to play a game no one can hear my mic but discord picks it up perfectly and my system recognizes it but everything from uplay to steam to battle net wont detect any sound, it knows its connected but when I test it it picks up no audio while discord does

Make sure that the MIC is selected in the sounds setting in the recording tab. If not disable all other mics and select the current mic as the default mic. Then make sure that the game is able to select MICS and change that also
