I am buying gigabyte g1 gtx 1070ti 8GB and I already have gigabyte g1 gtx 960 4GB.

I currently have corsair VS550 watt PSU.
Will this be enough to run both cards or do I need to buy a new one, if I have to replace the PSU which corsair or any better brand would you recommend.

I plan to work as well as game and mine some zcash/ethereum with the setup.

My PC specs :
Gskills 8GB x 2 = 16 GB RAM
8700k I7 CPU
Deepcool kendoman 5 fans Cabinet
1 WD 1TB blue HDD
1 WD 2TB blue HDD
1 500 GB external usb seagate HDD
1 250 GB SSD
1 old 7200 RPM 160 GB seagate HDD
Corsair k92 gaming keyboard
razer mamba tournament edition gaming mouse
Cooler master Hyper 212 EVO CPU cooler

If I need to buy a new expensive PSU then I wouldn't use the old 960 GTX and sell it, would then I be able to use the new GTX 1070 with the VS550 PSU?

Ok, thanks for the solution, for now I will just use the new card and sell the 2 years old 960 gtx at around $120~(bought it at $300 approx).

What if in future I plan to add another 1070Ti for mining ether/zcash, which PSU should I get then. In case of upgrading PSU, I really want one that is mid range in terms of quality and also don't eat any unnecessary wattage which could add up to my UPS load and electricity bills.

So it says 2 1070ti recommendation for PSU as 775 watt, does that means I have to buy 850watt psu? If yes which one from corsair or any other better quality PSU would you recommend?

So the new card is installed and running and mining perfectly at 26Mh/s for ETH under full capacity at 61 Degree Celcious temperature on the VS 550 PSU. If the mining goes well then I will buy another 1070ti as I have 2 pci x 16 slots on my z370 motherboard though I am not sure whether I can install both at same time without blocking each other, just tried placing the 960 alongside 1070ti to check if there is enough space and it seems a tight fit but will get into the slot after making some cable management for PSU.

In future I will buy Corsair RMx 850w for adding the other 1070ti. Hope it doesn't eat all those wattage and adds up in electricity bill as I am running my PC 24x7(only give it some occasional rest)

I just got another geforce twin fan gigabyte 1070 8GB GPU today and installed it along with the 1070 TI GPU and now both the GPU are mining at 100% (without overclocking) on the old VS 550 corsair PSU. I have been monitoring system from last 4 hours and no problems so far under full load. Does that mean I should stick with current 550 watt PSU or buy a RMX 850 corsair PSU?
