Do I need a new processor

I have a a6 6400k with 8gb ram and have just upgraded my gtx 950 to the gtx 1060. The main games I play, gta, cod, csgo have become extremely laggy. The graphics are a little better but I can't play them due to the lag. Do I need to upgrade my processor to utilise the 1060?

Yes. The larger problem is that you're limited to fm2+ CPUs, so to fully utilize a 1060, you're going to have to go to a new platform. The GTX 950 was actually quite well matched with your hardware.

The comment above is right. In order to utilise your new 1060, you will need to upgrade motherboard and cpu, changing platforms to either ryzen or 8th gen intel Coffee Lake.
